Who Studies Machining?
CNC Machining Enthusiasts in BC includes a relatively small community of people. Which is great news for those seeking to go into this industry. Being part of a niche market offers front-row positioning, creating essential and much-needed employment for those passionate about the industry.
That being said, CNC Machining – also known as ‘Computer Numerical Control’ Machining, is not for everyone. Those who study machining are often second or third generation machinists. They have likely seen one family member or another deliver precision work to a variety of customers, and grown to desire to do the same.
Here at Zum Hingst Technologies, we are a high mix ultra-high-precision machine shop whose founder pioneered CNC machining in British Columbia in 1977. We have a longstanding reputation in the community and are passionate in what we do. As such, we are always on the lookout for passionate people ready and willing to put in the time and effort required to master this craft in a similar fashion.
